You may not be aware that Hotels.com members can earn free night awards AND Avios points with every booking. A special deal now gives you up to 18 Avios for every £1 spent! There are around 800 places to spend your money and earn Avios points. Shopping to Insurance and a whole host of goodies and day-to-day items in between. This includes hotel stays.
Hotels.com is one of the biggest hotel agencies on the planet. Boasting thousands and thousands of hotels across this little blue planet. Aside from the number of hotels in every location you can think of, they have a remarkable points program that healthily stands on its own two feet. It has a few flaws but on the whole pretty rewarding.
Join Hotels.com and earn a Reward Night for every night you stay in a hotel booked through the site. Stay 10 nights and you earn a ‘Free Night’ at a hotel – which translated means you get a credit to the average value of your ten nights. Put another way, spend £800 (before tax or VAT) on ten nights and you will get a credit of £80 to spend on one of their thousands of hotels for the night (either to part or full pay).
This special Avios offer (until the end of Sept 19) gives you one of two options:
- Earn 9 Avios per £1 spent and ALSO earn Hotels.com Reward Nights;
- Earn 18 Avios per £1 spent WITHOUT earning Hotels.com Reward Nights (i.e. you have to book as a Hotels.com guest rather than through your Hotels.com account);
To take advantage of this you have to click through a special link – www.hotels.com/britishairways and make sure you enter your BA Executive Club membership number on the payment confirmation screen.
Obviously, whilst stating the obvious, the more hotels you stay in the more Avios points you can earn. If you travel a lot or have the opportunity of traveling for work and are able to use your Hotels.com account, the rewards can add up.
Staying 20 nights in a hotel per year, costing on average £90 per night, could bag you up to 32,400 Avios points (not collecting Hotels.com Reward Nights) or 16,200 Avios (whilst still earning your 2 Free Nights reward with your Hotels.com account).
32,400 Avios points are over halfway towards a Premium Economy reward return flight to New York.
